Sunday Keto Breakfast

Keto Breakfast at its best!

This morning, I made organic beef, garlic and fennel sausages from Kialla Organic Beef in my new Buffalo air fryer for this one - seriously my oven and BBQ will now remain squeaky clean!

The tomato I sautéed very slowly to bring out its tartness - with Australian extra virgin olive oil from Red Island, organic garlic and chives from my garden ( its the one herb the resident brush turkeys don’t like so leave to me!)

The little bit of Sunday decadence was some slow grilled Barambah organic Cheddar - I just slice, put it in a cast iron fry pan and heat slowly! Oh my - so delicious - I have learnt how to flip it like a pancake - the trick is patience - you can’t rush it! I don’t add any other oil as the fat from the cheese is enough.

And that dressing? A Thermomix recipe: caper and lemon zest aioli (sorry this recipe is only available to Cookidoo subscribers, but there are loads of similar versions out there - and I used seeded mustard as I didn’t have Dijon!

A glass of soda and a cup of Montville Woodford blend organic long black espresso with Barambah cream - what more can you want for a Sunday?

Now I just have to find a keto recipe for all those egg whites…..

DISCLAIMER: If you are going to try the keto diet - you can’t sneak ANY carbs in there as that will immediately release that “put the fat int the cell hormone called insulin” So no half measures - if you want to substitute perhaps a little bit of flat bread or rye toast , and leave out the cheese, it wouldn't pack such a high fat punch

And cheese is one of my “seventh day” rituals, whether I am on keto or not!

Enjoy
